The ESOP investment banking professionals at CSG Partners recently closed out the 2020 awards season with a series of major industry honors. Despite an unpredictable year, CSG’s advisors built upon their industry-leading reputation as employee stock ownership plan experts.
Multiple organizations recognized CSG’s ESOP accomplishments.
- M&A Advisor: Debt Financing Deal of the Year (led by Richard Harmon & George Thacker)
- M&A Atlas Awards: ESOP Investment Bank of the Year & ESOP Deal of the Year (led by Thacker & Nathan Perkins)
- Finance Monthly Magazine: ESOP Advisory Firm of the Year
The team’s body of work included ESOP formations, secondary sales, terminations and ESOP plan maintenance, in addition to M&A and capital advisory transactions. Clients hailed from across the country and wide range of industries such as architecture, construction, consumer goods, financial services, law, logistics, staffing, and transportation.
CSG's leveraged ESOP financing capabilities were critical to success in 2020.
In a year that demanded creativity and flexibility, CSG built on its already strong reputation as a ESOP financing specialist. Its capital markets team was singled-out for a pair of unprecedented funding packages that included $500 million in high yield bonds and leveraged loan offerings totaling nearly $200 million.
This was in addition to securing commercial term loans and revolving credit facilities with more than a dozen nationally-recognized institutions.
A great year by any standard.
“Despite significant headwinds and our first experience as a fully decentralized workforce, our team made great strides in 2020 – both in terms of driving value for our clients and building a more robust organization,” noted CSG’s Founder and Managing Partner, Lawrence Kaplan.
“These award wins are a testament to the hard work and tremendous skill of our 30+ ESOP professionals. We’re honored to be recognized and we're looking forward to building on these achievements in 2021."
