Steve Suckow leads CSG’s client services division. Uniquely suited for the role, Steve has demonstrated a deep commitment to the creation, growth, and long‑term sustainability of employee ownership. A frequent speaker at National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), The ESOP Association, and Private Directors Association (PDA) events, he has also served as an Employee Ownership Foundation Trustee and as a Director of the Employee‑Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA).
Before joining CSG, Steve supported nearly every facet of BMO’s ESOP practice as a Director in the bank’s Corporate Advisory Group. He worked closely with a portfolio of ESOP‑owned companies, advising on capital planning, corporate strategy, compliance, governance, and culture.
Steve previously honed these skills as a C‑suite executive at one of the largest and oldest ESOPs in the United States, where he oversaw legal and compliance matters, acquisitions, and government relations. Well‑versed in corporate governance, he has also served as corporate counsel at two NYSE‑traded companies and as a Partner at the law firm of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath.
A Minnesota native and active community member, Steve volunteers with Airport Foundation MSP, Catholic Charities, Edina Grief Coalition, Little Hospice, and the Walker Art Center. He previously served as Director and Vice Chair of Accra Healthcare, Director of the ACLU of Minnesota, and as a member of the Edina Arts and Culture Commission.
